The bespoke 2.5-storey new build house provides contextual design, responding to local building typologies, materials, proportions and urban grain.

DSA was commissioned to design a replacement dwelling in the sought-after area of Leicestershire. We have designed a large contemporary home, that is also sympathetic to the style of the nearby area, achieving this by using a blend of natural stone and white render, as well as traditional features like gables and bay windows but in modern styling. The house comprises 5 bedrooms including a generous master suite, a large open plan living area, a bar and games room, and a 4-car garage.
As part of the client brief, we were required to demolish the existing house and rotate the new house, to obtain access from the adjacent road with the plot being on the corner. This in return would allow for a more sought-after address and add value to the property.
