Spring Street Apartments
A historic tiered-looking corset factory given a new lease of life whilst ensuring the heritage of the building remains.
In the 1990s the historical corset factory in Rugby on Spring Street had been converted into numerous small office spaces. With the demand for office spaces of this nature reducing in 2014, DSA was instructed to obtain planning consent for a residential apartment scheme.
With a creative approach and making full use of the site and the volume of the building, including the loft spaces, the team were able to achieve 24 apartments, which were all individually designed creating a mixture of Studios, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments.
The loft space created high-quality penthouse-style apartments with stunning views across the city. The scheme also introduced Glulam beam structures which further enhanced the interiors of the scheme.
