DSA were instructed to develop an individual, small housing scheme on a corner plot which originally housed the Cottage Inn Public House. The site had remained derelict for several years and saw an increase in anti-social behavior.
Following positive discussions with the local authority, planning had been granted for 14 units and maximized the potential of the site for the client. The site comprised of town houses and apartments and with the efficiently used footprints, a number of spacious family houses were created.
Based on the local vernacular the material palette was carefully selected with the use of local brick and render and a high internal specification to create comfortable spaces.
