Chorley Works

The ‘Chorley Works’ project comprises the redevelopment of the site which was previously used as a dye factory, however, remained un-used for a number of years and was in a dilapidated state.

DSA were instructed to seek planning permission to re-develop the site to create high-quality apartments which would overlook one of the largest parks and green spaces within the area.

The location being close to all public transport is currently going through a major regeneration and with strong links to both Liverpool and Manchester, the area has become increasingly in demand.

The proposed scheme involves the development of a 5-storey building creating 18 high-quality and spacious apartments (made up of 1 and 2 bedrooms).

The project also aims to promote district heating as part of the sustainability strategy.

The modern design reflects the local vernacular and the scale of the buildings contributes positively to the local area.
