The two properties made great use of a narrow site with various constraints. The scheme was a great example of how a well-planned layout can still create a spacious family home.
The site, being a rear garden of two properties on Uppingham Road, Leicester, had a number of restrictions to consider, including several large trees and sloping topography. There were overlooking and interface sight lines to also consider as part of the design process.
The solution was to create two spacious family houses made up of over two and a half storeys. The layouts offered open plan living suitable for modern family living.
